Michael Bindas - Coach Bindas has been a fencing coach for nearly two decades. He had been interested in martial arts and duelist sports, and had studied sword making in Texas for several years, but discovered his passion for fencing after a move to France. He studied all three weapons there with Maitre d’Armes, Eric Desperier, and taught the art of fencing at le Club d’Escrime d’Annemasse.
Julie Carlsen - Coach Carlsen has been coaching the MHS Fencing Team since 2012. She fenced varsity sabre at Morris Hills High School and Vassar College. As women's captain in her senior year, Coach Carlsen led the Vassar women's team to their first team gold medal in the New England Championships. Outside of fencing, Coach Carlsen catalogs and sells rare antiquarian books in New York City.
Ed Chang - Coach Chang served as Head Coach for the West Windsor Plainsboro High School South fencing team from 2009 - 2014. He's coached both the boys' and girls' squads to district and state championships. In 2010 the local Princeton paper awarded him "Coach of the Year". Coach Chang holds degrees from Rutgers and NYU, and currently teaches high school English in Red Bank, NJ.
